There’s a trail near the Golden Gate. When I need to get away from it all. I’ve never seen anyone else there. I’ve discovered it’s not only precious to me.

There on my usual path, a paper tethered to a branch. Curious, I read, “just today, take the other path!” I took it as an answer to my feeling mundane. I accepted the challenge.

The path was less gentle then my usual. I had to know, why this alternative. I kept moving despite doubts. It got rockier. Telling myself, one more corner, I was greeted by the most amazing view. Close enough to touch it! I understood.

I put the note back, thinking thank you.
